Content Policy

Updated 2026-08-16. This policy applies sitewide. Communities may set their own, stricter rules — never looser ones.

The starting point: we do not remove opinions

This is a discussion forum about public figures. Harsh opinions, mockery, ridicule, unpopular takes, and brutal criticism of public figures’ public activity are allowed and are never grounds for removal. “Offensive” is not a moderation category on this site.

Our default action is not to remove. Removal is reserved exclusively for the legal floor below — nothing else.

The hard floor: what always gets removed

A removal decision is always made by a human. Our automated system never removes anything — it can only limit visibility and queue content for human review.

Visibility limiting — “freedom of speech, not freedom of reach”

Borderline cases are handled by limiting visibility, not by removal: the post stays readable at its address and in its thread, but it is not amplified on the front page or recommended. That is how the line behaves: your content does not disappear, but the platform is not obliged to spread it.

A note on factual claims

Opinion (“X is a terrible host”) is protected. A false factual claim (“X committed a crime”, “X has disease Y”) can constitute defamation under Chapter 24 of the Finnish Criminal Code — and the liability is the writer’s. Spreading information about someone’s private life is punishable even for public figures when it does not relate to their public activity.

Report and appeal

Every post and comment has a Report button. Reports are handled by a human; you receive a reasoned decision by email and can appeal it. All moderation actions are recorded in the public moderation log.
